This theme addresses the physical properties of matter in solid, liquid, and low-dimensional forms. It includes electronic, thermal, and mechanical behavior of solids, superconductivity, crystal defects, phase transitions, polymers, liquid crystals, disordered and irregular systems, and strongly correlated electron materials. It supports both theoretical modeling and experimental characterization of complex condensed phases.
